In the final game of the night, at American Airlines Arena, Miami, the Washington Wizards will visit the Heat. Miami is going through rough times, losing 4 out of the last 5 matches, one even at home, 77 to 93, versus the Indiana Pacers. The Wizards are yet to win a road game. They may have a chance tonight, trying to avoid a third straight defeat. In the mutual games, the Miami Heat hold the advantage, winning seven of the last 8 matches. Anyway, Washington won the last meeting played on Heat's home ground, 94 to 84. They would try to do the same now, or at least to limit the spread.

Tonight at Oklahoma City Arena, Oklahoma City, the Hornets will visit the Thunder in perhaps the most balanced game of the day. Both teams are coming after defeats: the Hornets lost to the Rockets 99 to 98 and the Thunder lost to the Spurs after leading most of the game. An interesting fact: the Thunder on home ground haven't been able to beat New Orleans when Chris Paul was present in the lineup. And he will be present tonight. He averaged more than 20 points per game and almost 12 assists versus OCK. I will play full stake on this one.

At EnergySolutions Arena, Salt Lake City, the Utah Jazz will host the Milwaukee Bucks. Utah is on the roll with 5 consecutive victories ( 3 of them at home). Milwaukee is not doing so good, winning last match against the Bobcats, 104 to 101, but having only 2 away wins. Also the head-to-head history is showing us that the Jazz won eight straight home meetings with the Bucks. The visitors are plagued with injuries, with next players uncertain : Bogut, Gooden, Maggette and Delfino. Brandon Jennings may be the single person that they can count on. In spite of all this, I consider that the odds are very much unbalanced here. The Bucks are able to produce a surprise here.

Tonight, at American Airlines Center, Dallas, the Houston Rockets will visit the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks are enjoying a great streak, winning the last 5 matches. An interseting fact : Dallas lost only 4 games until now, but three of them was on home ground. Houston is not doing that good, winning only 2 away games, to the Pacers and the Knicks. Although the favourites are clearly the Mavericks, I consider the odds for Houston exagerated. In the last 5 mutual games played at Dallas, the Rockets managed to win 3 times. With all these in mind I believe that Houston could have a chance here.

At Prudential Center, Newark, the New Jersey Nets will host the Portland Trail Blazers. Two of the less scoring teams are meeting today. NJN has only 188 total points per game in average, while the Blazers score the same number of points as they allow, that's 96 ppg. Both teams played mostly in matches that went under 200 points (12/16 NJN and 11/15 POR), even in 2 matches each with under 170 ppg. In the head-to-head history, the teams went under tonight's line in 8 out of the last 13 matches. Both teams will travel for the match tonight. Even the line is the lowest from all matches today, I don't think it will be surpassed. I choose the under here.

Tonight at Pepsi Center, Denver, the Nuggets will be visited by the Phoenix Suns. The limit for this game is set too high, in my opinion. Denver has 3 victories in a row, two of them at home, where a maximum total of 210 points were scored. On the other hand, Phoenix has 4 straight games in which over 220 points were scored in each match. Denver has in average 205 total points per game. In 8 out of 15 games, the total score went below 200. Phoenix played a lot of games in a short time, so they must be tired. In the 4 of the last 5 mutual games, the total went below tonight's line. So I think this one will go under, unless OT are played.

Tonight, at New Orleans Arena, the Hornets will face the San Antonio Spurs. The teams already met once this season, and NOH managed to get an anway win, 99 to 90. Both teams are at top of Western Conference, SAS with 13 w and 2 losses and NOH with 12 w and 3 losses. The Hornets are playing perfect at home with 7 victories and no defeats. Also they lead NBA allowing only 91 points per game. After two away losses, NOH managed one of the best defensive performance, winning at Portland by 19 points, 97 to 78. SAS are coming after an OT away win at Minnesotta and a lose on the home ground, versus the Mavericks. Both teams are playing after just one day rest. I think the match will be very disputed, possibly a low scoring one, but at the end, with the help of the home crowd, the Hornets will prevail.

In the second game of the night, at Palace of Auburn Hills, Detroit, the Pistons will host the New York Knicks. The visitors played awful last night, scoring only 90 points in a home game. Detroit beat Milwaukee 103 to 89. They play very good defense, receiving under 100 ppg, and also they played in 13 out of 16 matches with the total under 200 points. The Knicks scored under 100 ppg in the last 2 games. If we look and the head-to-head history, we see that 5 out of the last 6 games finished with a total of under 200 points. In my opinion, Detroit are favourites in this game, but I prefer to play the under here.

In the earliest game today, at Air Canada Centre, Toronto, the Raptors will be visited by the Atlanta Hawks. The Raptors are coming after three consecutive wins at home, where they score at least 102 ppg. Atlanta had an easy match, winning at NY with 99 to 90. Both teams score in average over 100 points per game. Additionaly Toronto played 10 out of 16 games with the total over 200 points (Atlanta played in 7/17). Also in the last 5 head-to-head meetings at least 200 points were scored (with a maximum of 261 points !!). Both teams are playing with little rest, but I think that tonight line could be surpassed. I play the over here.

We have an early game today, at Madison Square Garden, New York, the Knicks will be visited by the Atlanta Hawks. The hosts are having a great run, with 5 consecutive wins. The Hawks managed to end a streak o 3 losses in a row, with a win over the Wizards, 116 to 96. New York have an average of almost 214 total points per game, while the vistitors score in average over 100 ppg. In 5 out of the last 6 games, NYC scored at least 110 ppg. The head to head history also shows us high scoring matches, in 6 out of the last 8 games at least 215 total points were scored. I think that the match will be a close one, with the possibility of overtime very likely, considering also the fact that NYC never played OT this season. I will choose the over here.

In my last game of the night, at Rose Garden, Portland, the Trail Blazers will host the New Orleans Hornets. NOH already beat Portland this season, by 20 points, but I think they will have a much tougher game now. The Blazers could have back both Brandon Roy and Joel Przybilla. The Hornets are scoring only 92 points in average on away games, and a total of 188 points overall, allowing only 92 ppg. Also the Cavaliers are scoring and receiving under 100 ppg in average. If we look in the head-to-head history we see that most games finished with a total under 190 points. Portland had plenty of rest and will try to avenge the earlier loss. I don't see this game going over here.
